Seventeen: You've said girls should embrace their curves. Why did you think it important to make that statement?
Jennifer Lawrence: When I was playing Mystique in X-Men, I remember thinking, If I'm going to be naked in paint in front of the entire world, I'm going to look like a woman. I'm going to have curves and have boobs and have a butt. Because girls are going to look at that, and if I look like a scarecrow, they are going to think, Oh, that's normal. It's not normal. I'm just so sick of these young girls with diets. I remember when I was 13 and it was cool to pretend to have an eating disorder because there were rumors that Lindsay Lohan and Nicole Richie were anorexic. I thought it was crazy. I went home and told my mom, "Nobody's eating bread--I just had to finish everyone's burgers". I think it's really important for girls to have people to look up to and feel good about themselves.
I spent $100 buying clothes for work + gas today :( :( :( I hope I can make it back soon… I am going to have to get used to the idea of actually making money and being able to replace what I spend, rather than just accepting that it’s gone forever once I spend it like I have been doing my whole life. I have orientation tomorrow morning, belreghblerghablerghahrhglhgl
using my mom's/dad's money: im going to buy that, and that. $150? im definitely buying that.
using my money: $2? maybe that's too much..
So close to being done with this university application…
They told me to dress “business casual” for the orientation and wear closed-toed shoes. I guess I should buy some nice black or khaki pants? I don’t have anything like that to wear. WHAT DO I WEAR. aslfj;elgjw;goh

LOL, that post about Jennifer Lawrence has probably gotten the most notes this sad little blog has ever seen. Seriously though, I want her to be my best friend. She seems like the coolest person.

sunisup: Sometimes I hear people say that racism/sexism/etc in culture isn’t important or worth criticizing. ”Oh it’s just a book,” they say. ”It’s just a crappy TV show.” ”It’s just a commercial.” This argument always baffles me. It’s like if you put poison into a fish-tank and then say “Oh well I didn’t poison the fish, I just poisoned the water.” The fish lives in the water, dumbass;...
